ASROCK A320 MOTHERBOARDS WILL ONLY SUPPORT AMD RYZEN APUs

ASRock recently updated its list of BIOS updates and is about to launch AMD's Ryzen 3000 CPU. The list includes many entry-level A320 motherboards and, more importantly, it seems that the new BIOS support for these motherboards is only available for the next-generation Ryzen APU.

One possible reason behind this limitation may be that the A320 chipset cannot handle the power consumption of the upcoming Ryzen 3000 series CPU. The irony is that especially when you recall the design of the first generation of Ryzen CPUs, thermal efficiency and power efficiency are indispensable factors in the design.

BIOS updates for all ASRock AM4 motherboards will be available on their respective pages when AMD's Ryzen 3000 series CPUs are available during Computex 2019. In addition, these updates will be made available to those who intend to use the ASRock App Shop software. Boot the board automatically through the Windows desktop. Asrock's entry level A320 boards, will only support 12nm Ryzen 3000 series chips (Picasso), not the 7nm (Zen 2 series).
